She was the wife of the late Edward J. Alesius, to whom she was married for 64 years. She was the daughter of the late Carmine and Assunta (Iacobucci) Rocci. Born August 3, 1931, in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from Schenley High School in Pittsburgh and raised her family in nearby West Mifflin, PA. Clara served many years as a school crossing guard for the West Mifflin School District. Upon moving to Parkersburg in 1991, she enjoyed retirement life with Ed and her friends at Lakeview Estates apartments. Among her passions, Clara enjoyed working at her church bingo and was an avid bingo player herself. An occasional trip to the casino to play the slot machines always brought a smile to her face. She loved playing cards, or a game of Scrabble, and doing crosswords too. A die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she would not take phone calls or visits because that would disturb viewing a Steelers game on TV! Clara was also well known for her handiwork, latch-hooking beautiful works hung in her home and given to family and friends. She lived out her faith in God as a devout member of the Catholic Church. She will be deeply missed. Clara is survived by her sons, Alan Alesius (Suzie) and Keith Alesius (Tammy); daughter-in-law, Sabena Alesius; grandchildren: Ashley (John), Christian, Eric and Victoria Alesius and great-granddaughter Kelsey Alesius. She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Kennedy. She was predeceased by her two sons, Charles and Robert Alesius; grandsons, Anthony and Adam Alesius; brothers, Salvatore and Vince Rocci; and sisters, Josephine Scarpitti and Corrine Bradley. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 11:00 am at Resurrection Church, 3909 Donna Ave., West Mifflin, PA. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, 3501 Main St., Munhall, PA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Clara's name to Meals on Wheels America (MWA), 1550 Crystal Dr., Suite 1004, Arlington, VA 22202. Daughter of the late Ann Guest Walsh and Charles H. Walsh of Annapolis, MD. Beloved wife of the late Frank V. Cahouet of Mellon Bank (now, BNY Mellon). She was preceded in death by her brother, Semmes Walsh. Survived by her children, Ann P. Cahouet, Mary Cahouet-Rotondi (Armando Rotondi), Frank V. Cahouet, Jr. (Pamela), and David R. Cahouet (Katherine), by her six grandchildren, and by her eleven nieces and nephews. Family members, friends, and caregivers knew Mom as pure light. Despite longtime physical challenges, Mom remained the same warm, kind, wise, funny, and appreciative person we had always known. In her gentle way, Mom taught everyone in our family the grace of resilience. Among Mom's gifts was a musical ear that she revealed at the age of four when she climbed onto her family's piano bench and offered a perfect rendition of the piece her older brother had been practicing for his lesson. From there, Mom went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Music from Sweet Briar College in VA. Later, as our dad's career led the family to relocate in various cities, Mom founded volunteer singing groups in each new community. Mom would direct and accompany the groups on piano – often by ear -- and the group members and she would sing at nursing homes and prisons. Another of Mom's passions was tutoring children in foster and group homes. She bonded with each child and helped them develop skills in reading and math so they could thrive. Most important of all, Mom gave the kids she tutored love and the knowledge that they mattered. Of all Mom's gifts, her ability to give and receive love and to be fully present to everyone who needed her leave her family, friends, and caregivers immensely proud of her life. Funeral services will be private, and her loved ones look forward to holding a celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family invites you to support North Boroughs – Sewickley Area Meals on Wheels or Nazareth Prep's St. Joseph the Worker Fund at Holy Family Institute in Emsworth.

Over the years, he also held positions with Action Housing and the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh planning department and served on various advisory boards throughout the state. Jim took great pride in his lifetime of service, dedication, and achievement. Over the years, Jim remained dedicated to his Irish heritage, his beloved Pittsburgh sports teams, and his extended family.
