On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Adam W. Plizga, of Ross Township, formerly of Avalon, passed away at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Erika (Putz) Plizga; father of Walter (Michele), Stephen (Kathy), and Gregory (Lynn) Plizga; grandfather of Luke Plizga, Jessica (Peter) Rupolo, Erik Plizga, David (Tabatha) Dax and Kevin (Andrea) Dax; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Stanley and the late Julia Plizga. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Victoria, Jozef, Matthew, Stephanie, Dorothy, Stella, Ted; and by niece, Bunny Markey "Aunt Bunny." Adam was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. During the war, he served in Germany, where he met his wife and where they were married. He retired from Duquesne Light after 40 years. He was always busy, and he had many hobbies. Adam loved gardening, woodworking, carving ducks and foraging mushrooms.



Friends will be received from 4:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 460 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Regina Coeli Parish, Church of the Assumption, 45 N. Sprague Avenue, Bellevue. Memorials are suggested to Commonwealth Hospice.
