AGNES ROSE (KREY)

Age 82, of Oakmont, daughter of the late Agnes and Henry Krey, passed on April 27, 2026. One of the "Krey girls," she was born on April 17, 1944, sister of Caroline Grace and the late Joan Krey, Mary Ann Vallus, and Imelda Blair. She is survived by ten nieces and nephews who admired and loved her.

Agnes contributed to the world in many ways as a nun, a nurse, a cook, and a caregiver and was passionately concerned about the environment, the state of our world, and the well-being of others. She donated to many nonprofit organizations, watched Democracy Now with fervor, habitually picked up litter off the streets, frequently gave out chocolate bars, and always had a smile/chat for others. Agnes also was a lover of the arts, politics, travel and lifelong learning. Collections of playbills, books, movies, music, and Osher notes from Pitt filled her home. With love and humor, she shared many meals with family and friends. Agnes clearly "walked a life of beauty," just as the Indian prayer hanging on her wall stated. She was a compassionate, curious, and joyful soul who will be deeply missed by many.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery with a luncheon to follow. Arrangements are entrusted to SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME.
