Age 84, of Ross Township, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, July 30, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Al was born in Pittsburgh on February 23, 1942, to the late Carl W. and Alberta (Graczyk) Kamper. Al was married to Julie (Mangold), who preceded him in death on September 14, 1991. Al was also preceded in death by his older brother, Karl Kamper. Al retired from Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh after 45 years. Al is survived by his children, Andrew, Douglas (Erin) Kamper and Alexis (Stephen) Forest; grandson, Adam Kamper Forest; sister-in-law, Kathleen Kamper; and niece and nephew, Kirsten and Brendan Kamper; and great-niece, Mariah.
