ALEXANDRA R.

Alexandra R. Frye, age 73, of Mt. Lebanon, peacefully went home, to be with her Lord and Savior, on July 21, after an extended battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on June 10, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Alex graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School and then went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Washington and Jefferson College and a master's degree in early childhood education from the University of Pittsburgh. Alex spent her personal life as a devoted wife, fiercely compassionate and caring mother, and grandmother, and was an active member of the church. From acting as the principal of a special needs school, to operating a church-based preschool, and assisting with early intervention of special needs children at a very young age, her professional career was centered around improving the lives of young children. Alex always put the needs of others ahead of her own; she always had a kind and encouraging word for friends and colleagues. Alex had served as the Director of Children's Ministries at Beverly Heights United Presbyterian Church. She was currently an Elder at Mt Lebanon Evangelical Church, where she was also active in teaching and assisting children's ministries. Alex was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Radkoff; and her mother, Naomi Crain. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jeffrey; her sons, Christoper (Olivia) and Bradley (Emily); her three grandchildren, Holden, Chandler and Josephine; brothers, Geoffrey (Kathy) and Mason; sisters, Vivienne and Adrienne; and many other beloved family members and friends. Visitation for family and friends will take place at LAUGHLIN CREMATION & FUNERAL TRIBUTES, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m., at Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 255 Washington Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
