ALISON SUZANNE
Alison Suzanne Wojcik, age 57, passed away peacefully, at home on Friday, April 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Alison was the daughter of Fidelis Catalde and the late Donald Richard Seagle Sr., and Thomas Catalde. She was a proud graduate of Duquesne University, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Master of Science in Higher Education Administration. Alison dedicated her professional life to helping students, first serving at Pittsburgh Technical Institute as the Director of Financial Aid, and then as the Associate Director of Financial Aid at Duquesne University, where she left a lasting mark on countless students and families. Many of those students and parents became Alison's lifelong friends.
On New Year's Eve of 2005, Alison married the love of her life, Rob Wojcik. Their marriage was a partnership rooted in deep affection, support, and shared laughter.
Alison is survived by her husband, Rob; her sisters, Roxanne Seagle, Melani Johnson, and Mary Lynn Scott; her brother, Donald Seagle; and her beloved godchildren, Nicholas Killen, Alexandra Stevens, and Bronson Keller II. She also leaves behind a large extended family of loved ones-stepsiblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and others-spanning both her and Rob's sides of the family. Alison was deeply cherished by a wide circle of family, friends, colleagues, and former students. Too numerous to name individually, each one held a special place in Alison's heart; just as she did in theirs.
Those who knew Alison remember her as an extraordinary woman of warmth, kindness, and grace. She had a radiant smile, an infectious laugh, and a deep compassion for others. She was a devoted mentor, a loyal friend, a fighter, and a bright light to everyone around her. Many described her as "a sweet soul," "a warrior," and "a blessing to all she encountered." Her courage and positivity touched lives in ways words can hardly express.
She found joy in simple moments and strength in adversity. Even during her illness, Alison continued to encourage and care for others, her compassion and generosity undiminished.
Alison participated in many cancer walks and actively supported awareness causes, especially those connected to ovarian cancer.
We deeply appreciate all of the love, prayers, and kind blessings from everyone. Thank you for your unwavering love and support during this time.
