ALLAN J. KAUTZ Obituary
Murrysville, PA - Age 84, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully at home, on Friday, March 6, 2026, with his family at his side. He was born on December 20, 1941, to the late Russell C. and Marian (Schlander) Kautz. After graduating from Penn Hills High School in 1959, he worked at various auto repair shops as a body and fender repairman and as a licensed PA State Inspector. In April 1964, he was drafted into the United States Army and served as a Military Police Officer reaching the rank of Corporal. After returning home, he changed careers and began his 38-year career working at Mine Safety Appliances (MSA Safety) as a Computer Programmer. He was a devoted member of Union Presbyterian Church, Camp JoAnn, where he faithfully served as an Elder, Deacon and Chairperson of the Property Committee. In addition to his parents, Allan was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia K. Aites and brother-in-law, W. Kenneth Aites. Allan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Kathryn (Ulmer); son, Richard Allan (Jennifer); son, Darren Russell (Liesel); grandchildren, Liea, Olen, Milo and Evie; brother, Donald R. Kautz; nephew, John R. Kautz; and niece, Chelsea J. Kautz. The family will forever be grateful to Allan's private duty nurses, Christina Scalese and Melissa Worthy, who provided care and support for Allan during his final months. Friends received on Friday, March 13, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD. / ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills, PA 15235. A Celebration of Life will be held at Union Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. Everyone Please Meet at Church. Interment and Military Honors to follow in Plum Creek Cemetery.
