ANGELINE "ANGIE" C.


Passed away on July 26, 2026, at the age of 103, with her best friend at her side. Angie was born July 2, 1923, in Galeton, PA. She moved to Pittsburgh in 1949 for her new job and has lived in the area ever since. There she met the love of her life, William Dietrich, and they were married in 1956.



Angie was predeceased by her husband, William Dietrich; her brothers, Anthony, George, and Vincent; and her sister, Catherine. Surviving to keep her memory alive are numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her best friend, Marti; and dear family friends, Al and Judy.



Angie graduated from Galeton High School and then attended business school in Buffalo, NY. She worked as a secretary for a construction firm and later worked as a secretary in her husband's business. She retired in 1986.



She traveled extensively with her husband, enjoying freighter trips and cruises around the world and car trips throughout the U.S. They created wonderful memories together and had great stories to tell.



Angie was a former coordinator and volunteer since 1981 for the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program through the IRS. She was awarded the Jefferson Medal in 2015 for her many years of work. She retired after 40 years of service. She also volunteered at the Peter's Township Library for many years. Angie is a charter member of St. Louise de Marillac Church and worked in their office for 12 years.



She and Bill moved to Friendship Village in 2008, where she became a celebrity for her famous peanut brittle and her beautiful rugs, which she made by hand.



Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Family and friends are welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-941-3211, Friday, July 31, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at noon in St. Louise de Marillac Church, St. Catherine Laboure Parish. Entombment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Louise de Marillac Angel Fund, 320 McMurray Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15241.
