ANNA MAE (UNGLO)

Anna Mae (Unglo) Salego, age 94, of Lower Burrell, passed peacefully, on July 21, 2026, in Glenshaw.

Born on February 27, 1932, in Harmarville, she was the daughter of the late Andrew "Jack" Unglo and Rose (Colone) Unglo.

In addition to her parents, Anna Mae was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank S. Salego III, in 2020; her son, F. Christopher Salego; sister, Pauline McGivern; and her grandson, Samuel Carlson.

She is survived by her loving children, Rosemary (Jim) Lombardi, Pollyanna (Craig) Slagle, Jackie (Terry) Miller, Angelica (Richard) Schwartz, Andrew (Denise) Salego, Jonathan Salego, Alex (Lide) Salego, Georgi (Jim) Snyder, Nicole (Tom) Johnston, Justine (Edward) Carlson, Damon (Karen) Salego, and Bella (Alan) Bordonaro; her daughter-in-law, Carol Salego; 36 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Anna Mae was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishments were her 13 children, whom she loved unconditionally. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, finding happiness in cooking for them, nurturing them, and simply being their mother. Her love, guidance, and selfless devotion created a legacy that will live on for generations.

She was a faithful member of Mount St. Peter Church where she belonged to Addolarata Society. She was also a faithful member of the Christian Mothers at the former St. Francis Church in Harmarville. Her faith was an important part of her life and was reflected in the kindness and compassion she showed to others.

Memorial contributions may be made in Anna Mae's memory to the Mount St. Peter Food Bank, New Kensington and also Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

A Memorial Mass will be held at a future date.
