Tony opened a small auto body repair shop behind their house in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh, repairing vehicles for local car dealerships. He eventually obtained his teaching certificate from the University of Pittsburgh and became an auto body shop teacher at Brashear High School in the Beechview neighborhood of Pittsburgh, where he taught his trade to generations of future auto body mechanics in the Pittsburgh area. Tony was a long-time member of St. Maurice parish in Forest Hills, where he served as a church usher for several decades. He was happiest surrounded by family, sharing a meal and recalling funny stories.
