ATTORNEY CRAIG MICHAEL
Attorney Craig Michael Lee passed away at home, with his loving family by his side, after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on May 11, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Honorable Donald John Lee and Ann (Craig) Lee. Craig graduated from South Catholic High School (Seton LaSalle), class of 1975, and upon graduation attended Washington and Jefferson College. Craig received his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University Law School. Craig married his loving wife, Geralyn Ann (Sobash) Lee, in 1983, and they celebrated 42 years of marriage in July this year. Craig's greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his children, Conor Lee (Katie), Sean Lee (Megan) and Alexandra Garrity (Michael). He was the proud and loving "Pap" and "Craigie" to Addie, Quinn, Liam and Graham Lee, Cullen Garrity and Fia Lee, each of whom brought him immeasurable happiness. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Casey and Jack.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Lee (Amy); and his sister, Mary Beth Pfarner (Carl). Craig is survived by his brothers, Donald Jr. (Kathie), Kevin (Vickie), Tim and Christopher (Kristy) Lee; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Craig had an extensive career as an attorney and found his dream job as the Chief Compliance Officer and Solicitor at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, where he supported the Board of Directors to ensure aspiring students had access to high-quality arts and education programs.
In his free time, Craig was a voracious reader and a history enthusiast. In the summer, you could find him relaxing outside, moving between his pool and hot tub with a little "toddy" in his hand. Craig was also a great conversationalist who was well-versed in any subject, especially sports. He loved talking about all things NFL and his support for WPIAL athletes was especially important to him.
Craig's constant desire to help others was demonstrated by all his pro bono work as an attorney. His generosity and empathy towards others had a profound impact on his community and loved ones. Those who knew him would remember not just what he said, but how he made them feel.
