Audrey C. Hightower passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the presence of loved ones. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Hightower (deceased); proud mother of Vegrin and Etienne (Debbie) Hightower; loving grandmother of Lucy, Claire, and Ridley Hightower; also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Audrey was employed with Pittsburgh Public Schools for over 30 years, where she was deeply dedicated to her many students. Retired as a school teacher in 1992, Audrey left behind a legacy of education, mentorship, and kindness that impacted many learners. Audrey was known to friends and family as a generous, compassionate, and devoted woman. She enjoyed reading, coloring, spending time outside, and she cherished time spent with her family above all else. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she gave. Friends welcome from 2 to 4 p.m Thursday, August 28, 2025 at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Township, 15220 where a funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm.
