August Arthur Makal, age 95, of Baldwin, died on August 11, 2025. He was the son of the late Martha and August Makal. He is survived by daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Schellenberg; and grandson, Thomas A. Makal, Jr. He was predeceased by wife, Yvonne (LeMaster) Makal; son, Thomas August Makal; and sister, Marlene Evans. He graduated from Carrick High School in 1948. He was in the Navy after high school and then worked his entire career at Bell Telephone and AT&T. He was an avid golfer and had two holes-in-one. The burial will be private.
