Barbara Ann Jackson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Barbara, age 86, peacefully departed this life on November 5, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 20, 1939, in Hollidaysburg, PA, Barbara lived a life marked by devotion, compassion, and an unwavering love for her family.
Barbara was a proud mother to her sons, James Jackson, Matthew (Michele) Jackson, Daniel (Jean) Jackson, and her daughter, Molly (Francis) Carlin. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Piper, Erin, and Katelyn, pouring her love and wisdom into their lives. Barbara is also survived by her loving companion, Mark McFarland, her sister Janet Myers, and her brothers Gary Warner and the late John Warner, Jean Heverly, Joseph Warner, and Carol Probst.
Barbara also retired from a 20-plus year career at Erie Insurance in Warrendale, PA as a clerical supervisor.
A devoted Catholic, Barbara found joy in attending Mass and was an active member of her parish community. She had a zest for life that shone through in her love for reading, tending to her garden, and enjoying jazz concerts with Mark. Her family was her greatest treasure, and her nurturing spirit will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 3 to 7 PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Catholic Charities in Barbara's memory.
