BARBARA J.

Age 88, of Bethel Park, PA, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, with her family by her side. Barbara was born on February 21, 1938, daughter of the late Helen and Earl Meinert. She was the beloved wife of John G. "Jack" Boss to whom she was married for 64 years. She is survived by her three children, Jack Boss Jr. (Beth), Jill Colussy (Jon) and Gary Boss (Colleen). Proud Grandmother to Julie, John, Matthew, Kelly, Jenna and Jocelyn; and great-grandmother to Audrey, Caroline, Benny, Teagan, Sadie and Evelyn. She was the loving sister of Bob and Mary Anne. She was preceded in death by her late brother, Bob Meinert (Nancy); and survived by her sister, Mary Anne McIlwain (Tom); along with a host of nieces, nephews and cherished friends and neighbors.

Barbara grew up in Perrysville, where she graduated with honors from St Benedict's Academy. She was the lead majorette in the high school marching band and led them in the annual Perrysville Parade. She was a great Mom in every way to her three children and cherished spending time with her six grandchildren.

Her spiritual strength and giving heart extended way beyond family. She had a special way of making everyone feel included and valued. She gave her time, and lots of it, helping others in very practical ways. She was an ordinary woman, doing ordinary things in a glorious way. We know she will encounter many people in heaven that will make it a point to find her, hug her and thank her.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 30, 10 A.M. until 12 P.M., at the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME INC., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333) in celebration of her life, with a blessing immediately following at 12:30 P.M.
