BARBARA J.
Age 83, passed away peacefully with family by her side laying in the sun, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Grand Residence in Upper St. Clair.
She was born on August 11, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Harold "Pete" and Marie Simmons.
She was a dedicated mother to Lisa Proie (Eric), Richard Kenny (Kathy), Angela Loria (Matty), Evy Breitigan (Ed), Michele Becker (Craig), and Paul-Michael Hauger. She was the beloved sister to Sonny, Donny and Sparky Simmons. She was devoted to and loved by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Barb was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends.
She loved to jitterbug the oldies and her talent for growing roses was well known. She was an avid bowler and card club player and always had a smile for everyone.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211). A service will be held on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies (everyone please meet at the cemetery reception area at 12:25 p.m.)
