BEBE W. (WILLIAMS) TONKS
June 2, 1957 - April 29, 2023
On Saturday, April 29, 2023, Bebe W. (Williams) Tonks, of Imperial, PA, passed away peacefully, at the age of 65, surrounded by family after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 2, 1957, to Leon and Bee Williams. Bebe was raised in Mt. Lebanon, PA, and resided in Hookstown/Georgetown, PA during her married life where she and her late husband, Robert L. Tonks raised their two daughters, Alicia Erin Tonks of Imperial, PA, and Noelle (Daniel) Nuzzo of Ellwood City, PA. Bebe was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Robert L. Tonks; her first grandchild, Jacob Johnson; and her father-in-law, George R. Tonks. She is survived by her brothers, Leon "Tres" I. (Karen) Williams III of Hickory, NC, and Nathaniel (Kendra) Williams of Auburn, CA; as well as her four grandchildren, Max, Colt, Duke, and Gianna. She is also survived by her late husband's siblings, Ronald (Patti) Tonks and Randy (Tammy) Tonks; as well as her mother-in-law, Marjorie Brewer Tonks; and several nieces and nephews.
Bebe graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She spent her entire adult career of over 40 years as a registered nurse in the home healthcare setting. She had a passion for home health and even after no longer being a traveling nurse she remained in that setting as a Clinical Director of a home health agency. She was an active member of Mill Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church and also recently had been attending West Ridge Church. Bebe always looked forward to her family's annual trip to Bethany Beach, Delaware each summer where she was able to spend quality time with her whole family. Her more recent hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren, weekly bible studies, spending time with friends, and watching HGTV in the evenings. She had several other hobbies over the years including scuba diving, skiing, horseback riding, kayaking, and sailing with her husband.
Friends will be received Thursday, May 11, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 255 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15216, where a funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm. Interment will be private.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
