BENJAMIN "MICHAEL"

Age 75, of Bethel Park, passed away on April 16, 2026.

Michael was born in Harlem, New York, on October 26, 1950, to the late Ben and Helen (Tracz) Singer.

He was a proud graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School. Michael furthered his education at Point Park University and attained a bachelor's degree in information science. He spent many years as a computer programmer for numerous companies, like PNC, Mellon Bank, and Highmark, to name a few. After his years spent as a computer programmer, he started a second career as a teacher at Pittsburgh Pioneer Education Center, helping handicapped kids.

Outside of work, Michael enjoyed home improvement projects, gardening, reading, and traveling. He had a passion for caving and was even a member of the Pittsburgh Grotto.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Ben and Helen Singer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Singer; his dear children, Sue (Skip) Davis, Michael (Deborah) Singer and Melanie Singer; his cherished grandchildren, Ariel, Ashlynn and Parker; his siblings, John Singer and Walter (Kathy) Singer; and many beloved friends and extended family.

Arrangements by BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME. Family and friends welcome on Tuesday, April 21, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m., at 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, on Wednesday, April 22, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
