Of Bethel Park, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at age 91. Beloved husband for 73 years of Angela "Angel" (Vitale); loving father of Kathie Mason, Lori Lapinski (Rob), Joyce Thomas (Steve), Clay Kinlan (Kim), and the late Gary Kinlan; father-in-law of Roxanna Kinlan; grandfather of Jennifer (Chris), Nikki, Luke, Ben (Beth), Morgana (Matt), Jake (Kate), Maureen (Stephen), Nathan (Mikako), Adam (Sara), Rachel, and Heather; also 13 great-grandchildren. Bernie was a member of Douglas Regimental Pipes and Drums. He enjoyed sailing, carpentry, attending steam tractor shows, and visiting Civil War battlefields. Visitation is Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the DAVID J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME, 6364 Library Road (Rt. 88), Library, where a blessing service will be Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. Burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
