Grandmother of Jacquie, Jordan, Luc, Jules, Olivia and the late Curt.

Daughter of the late Charles and Marie Hauser.

Born on April 25, 1941 to Charles and Marie Hauser, Betty Lou carried a lifelong devotion to her Swiss heritage. She frequently traveled back to Switzerland throughout her life, maintaining deep connections with her extended family and immersing herself in the traditions, culture and alpine landscape.

An avid skier, she found great joy on the slopes. Over the decades, Betty Lou organized and cherished countless ski trips, creating lasting memories with her beloved family and a close-knit circle of friends. Whether navigating a challenging run, relaxing on a comfy couch enjoying the view, or taking a dip in the hot tub, the mountains were a place of true happiness for her.

Betty Lou was an exceptionally accomplished knitter whose talent reached far and wide. Her original, intricate knitting patterns were published in national magazines, inspiring crafters everywhere. A generous mentor, she eagerly taught the art of knitting to her family, friends, and countless others in the community, ensuring the tradition lived on. Her creativity and skill also came to life through incredible hats, scarves, sweaters, slippers, and numerous other unique creations. Each piece she crafted was a labor of love, gifted generously to warm the hands and hearts of those she cared about.

Above all, Betty Lou was profoundly proud of her family. She poured her heart into being a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and a cherished grandmother. Her legacy of warmth, creativity, and adventure will live on through the generations and the lives of those she touched.
