BRYAN T.

Bryan T. Horney, age 83, of Sewickley, PA, formerly a 42-year resident of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, surrounded by his family. Bryan was born September 6, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Colonel Daniel Horney and Josephine B. Horney. The beloved husband of the late Florence Jean Counahan of 56 years. Bryan is survived by his loving and only daughter, Kimberly H. Patterson (husband, Andrew) and two grandsons, Ian Thaddeus Patterson and Luke Daniel Patterson, all of Allison Park, PA.

Bryan lived a full and adventurous life from the very start, born into a military family, Bryan proudly attended and graduated from Staunton Military Academy in Staunton, Virginia, from there he would go on to graduate from the University of Miami in Miami, Florida and finally The American Institute of Foreign Trade in Phoenix, Arizona, before becoming a partner at Coopers & Lybrand and finally starting his own business, Management Strategies here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Bryan had a passion for art which he carried with him throughout his life. He had joy in designing and creating sculptures and jewelry for his wife Florence. During their retirement years Bryan and Florence found a love for Deep Creek, Maryland and their home 'Legends' where they entertained family and close friends throughout the years. Some of their fondest memories at 'Legends' were with their chosen brothers Jay Shockley and Rolfe Stange who spent many years celebrating New Year's Eve.

A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Martha and Mary Parish, St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 2554 Wildwood Road, Allison Park, PA 15101.
