CAROL ANN

Age 87, of Pittsburgh, PA, went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Daniel R. Toomey; mother of Diane M. (Marty) Schell and Reverend Daniel A. Toomey; grandmother of Jennifer (Mark) Earnest, William (Jackie) Schell, Erik Donatelli, Crystal (Eric) Frihart and Jason (Sheri) Schell. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Madl; sister of the late Sandra (Jeff) Zabierowsky; and she was close to several nephews and nieces who are like her sons and daughters; and great-nephews and great-nieces who are like her grandchildren.

Carol attended Annunciation High School and was a proficient administrative assistant and always was exceptional wherever she was employed. She was very active in the St. Cyril's women's groups and became the Sacristan of the church. Carol was a little social flower and became close to almost everyone she ever met and wherever she was planted and lived.

Carol always loved dancing and being graceful - wonderful in ballet when she was younger, she blossomed, as she loved going to Danceland with all her friends in West View park. She loved ice skating and skating rings around her husband. Flowers and gardening gave her so much joy, but it cannot be compared to the energy and love she had for her children.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at the THOMAS P. KUNSAK FUNERAL HOME INC., 3552 California Avenue at Davis Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., in Christ Our Savior, St. Cyril of Alexandria Church. Interment will follow in Christ Our Redeemer, North Side Catholic Cemetery.
