CAROL "CHEECH" (CHURIK)

Age 86, of Scott Township, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, surrounded by her three sons, Dano, Roman, and Marco.

She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Carol took great pride in her family and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Dano and his wife, Jana; her son, Roman and his wife, Terra, along with his children, Luke, Gia, and Kade (with their mother, Wendy); and her son, Marco and his wife, Susy and their son, Gianni, who brought her immense joy as a cherished grandmother.

Carol had a special love for gathering her family together, especially for her beloved Sunday dinners, where her warmth and cooking brought everyone close.

She enjoyed a long and successful career as a hairdresser and, alongside her late husband, Bruce Capristo, founded Capristo Salon in Shadyside. Together, they built not only a business but also a life rooted in partnership, love, and dedication.

A woman of strong faith, Carol found comfort and community at Saint Simon and Jude Church. She was known by many as a kind and gentle soul with a big heart, and she treasured the friendships she formed, especially while socializing with friends at Virginia Mansions Condominium.

She loved to read and enjoyed learning about health and medicine. She also liked to play games such as solitaire, always keeping her mind active and sharp.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
