CAROL (GORDON)

Carol (Gordon) Fereday passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, in Pittsburgh, at the age of 76, following a 3-year battle from a stroke. She was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Helen W. (Plath) Gordon. Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald W. Fereday, and her brothers, James W. Gordon and John S. Gordon. She is survived by her loving children, Donald G. (Melissa) Fereday and Diane E. (Brian) Collery; her cherished grandchildren, Nolan J. Collery, Jackson F. Fereday, Brenna E. Collery, and Jonathan M. Fereday; her brothers-and sisters-in-law, Lloys Gordon, Ernie (Karen) Fereday, and Chuck (Karen) Fereday; her devoted senior companion, Rosaleen Poloso; and many loving nieces and nephews. Carol was born on September 19, 1949, in Fargo, ND, lived in Chicago for a few years and then moved with her family to Pittsburgh, PA. She met her late husband Donald W. Fereday while attending college at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and then settled in Plum, PA where they raised their two children Donald and Diane. Carol had a sharp wit, a great sense of humor, she enjoyed baking, and loved to care for her family. After the children grew up she moved to West Deer Township and joined the Bakerstown United Methodist Church where she met several dear friends, attended Bible studies, and volunteered her time serving others. A memorial service will be in the SPERLING FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 700 Blazier Dr., Wexford, PA 15090 on Saturday ,January 24, 2026, at 10 AM. Carol Fereday's final place of rest will be at Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Bakerstown United Methodist Church at 5760 William Flynn Highway, Gibsonia, PA 15044. Remembrances can be left at:
