BUTLER
CAROL J. (DEMARK)
Carol J. (DeMark) Butler, age 73, of Myerstown, PA, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA passed away peacefully, after a long illness, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. She was born on June 17, 1952, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Rose DeMark. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years James J. Butler Jr. They would have celebrated their 44th anniversary on May 8. Also surviving is her stepson, James W. Butler and wife, Christine; Sister Kathy Daubert (Dennis) Lebanon, PA, Wayne DeMark (Sue) Smithfield, NC, William DeMark (Missy) Pittsburgh, PA; and several nephews and nieces.
Carol was employed as a Senior Meat Buyer at Associated Wholesalers Incorporated in Robesonia for over 25 years. Growing up Carol was a lover of dogs, and then her conviction turned to horses. She had several horses while living in Pittsburgh. Her attachment was so great, she brought several of them with her when her and Jim moved to the Lebanon, PA area.
Her greatest and proudest moment was when she and Jim purchased a farm in Myerstown. At that point her dreams of owning a farm and bringing her four-legged girls home had been fulfilled. She enjoyed the little things, only asking to spend her life with Jim and her horses.
Private services or a Celebration of Life are at the discretion of the family. Inurnment will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. If people feel the need to help others in Carol's name, please donate to the Lebanon Humane Society Thrift Shop, 129 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042 or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, https://t2t.org/ to help our veterans. www.kreamerfuneralhome.com
