CAROLE (NOE)
Age 92, completed her earthly journey and entered heaven in the loving arms of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin, on Thursday, October 23. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Hazel; two grandsons, Steve and Mike; her sister, Grace; and her beloved husband of 62 years, Charles. She is survived by her sister, Mary Lou; and a large loving family.
Carole was the matriarch of an amazing family that included six children: Chuck (and his partner, Jess), Ken (and his wife, Marianne), Marjie (and her partner, Hutch), Joe (and his partner, Jamie) and twins, Bob and Beth (and her husband, Chris). This large family, which she cherished, includes 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, who all affectionately referred to her as "Nuna."
Carole was a devout Catholic and a passionate pro-life supporter. She was a dedicated educator and spent decades teaching in elementary schools and later in her career as the school principal at St. Irenaeus in Oakmont. She adored the beach and spent countless summers in Myrtle Beach, SC, often accompanied by dozens of family members.
Carole was an avid reader, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, ceramics, sewing, knitting, and crochet. She was an exceptional baker, specializing in nut bread, Christmas butter cookies, and the world's best pie crust. She loved following and rooting for her hometown Pirates, Steelers and Penguins. She stayed up to date on current events (was a Fox News junkie) and never missed an opportunity to play Bingo.
Her family will miss her hosting the regular Sunday gatherings for dinner and witnessing the delight she exuded when visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carole truly earned her ticket to heaven. It was over seven years ago that her husband, Charles "Pap," departed this world, and she expressed her readiness to join him in heaven. It is a certainty that the two of them will continue to watch over their entire family with very happy hearts.
Funeral Services are being handled by NEELY FUNERAL HOME, Glenshaw, PA. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 26, from 4-7 P.M., on Monday, October 27, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
