CATHERINE A. (DORSCH)


Catherine A. Wreath "Cathy," was born on October 27, 1942, in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Martha J. (Weidner) Dorsch. Cathy passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 83. She was a resident of Edgewood. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, L. Paul Wreath; and her brothers, Anthony G. Dorsch and Robert G. Dorsch. Cathy is survived by her sisters, Elva Mae (Jim) Roth, Arlene C. Hite (the late Harry G.) and Mary Lee (Bill) Mirt. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as her beloved dog, Lucy. Cathy spent more than 40 years of her career as a judicial secretary, serving on the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania until her retirement in 2002. She volunteered at Madonna del Castello Church, in Swissvale, where she was a member, and delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. Per Cathy's wishes, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on March 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in Saint Boniface Church of Christ Our Savior Parish, 2208 East St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212. A committal will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, per Cathy's wishes, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
