Age 79, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Born in Rankin, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Colbert) Nau. She was the loving wife of the late Michael Cicala. Beloved mother of JoAnne Cross (Harry), Michelle Olah (Douglas), Lori Parkin (Michael), and Michael Cicala, Jr. (Estrella); cherished grandmother of Aliesha Cross, Robert Cross (Katie), Haley Olah (Jake), Emily Olah, Sara Parkin, Michael Parkin, Jr., Sam Larson, Callie Thorhauer (Andrew), and Michael Cicala III; great-grandmother of CJ Schiller; sister of Lilian Hipp, Cindy Cohen, and the late Cheryl Cohn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Jazzy. Cathy enjoyed playing bingo, rooting for the Steelers, and especially getting together with her family for dinners, playing games, and going to wine and paint nights. She enjoyed making pizzelles for her family and friends during Christmas and for weddings. Cathy also enjoyed family vacations at Geneva on the Lake.
All are welcome Wednesday, June 11, 2025, 1-3 and 5-7 PM, FREYVOGEL-SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 112 Fort Couch Rd., Bethel Park 15241 (opposite South Hills Village Macy's), 412-835-1860, where her Funeral Service will take place Wednesday, at 7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Women's Cancer, at 26533 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1286, foundationforwomenscancer.org.
