Pittsburgh, PA - With heavy hearts, we share that Charlotte K. Schindler passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 79.

Charlotte lived a life rooted in faith and family.

Born on March 20, 1947, on the North Side of Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothea Kruezer. A lifelong resident of the North Hills, Charlotte's life was defined by her compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

She found joy in the simple beauties of life: being outdoors, taking long walks, and enjoying the spirited fun of a good card game. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

Her deep faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a dedicated member of the St. Teresa of Avila community, her devotion brought her immense joy and a lifetime of cherished friendships.

Charlotte's legacy of love continues through her family and the many lives she touched. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, David Schindler; her children, Joi Mrdjenovich and her husband, John, of Pittsburgh, and Erik Schindler and his wife, Shannon, of Las Vegas, NV; and her cherished grandchildren, Ian and Brooke Mrdjenovich. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Hoffer and her husband, Bob, of Ephrata, PA, and Lucille Plesco of CT; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will deeply miss her kind and gentle spirit.

Friends will be received on Monday, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, at 10:00 AM, at St. Teresa of Avila Church-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 1000 Avila Court.
