CLYDE "SKIP"

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Clyde "Skip" Osborn, who left us on February 16, 2025, at the age of 75. Skip passed away quietly in his sleep, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to family and friends, hard work, and kindness. Skip was born in the Elliot neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh and graduated from Langley High School before being drafted into the Marines, where he served in the Vietnam War. He'd been married to his high school sweetheart, Betsy, for 52 years. For over 30 years, Skip proudly served the Plum Borough community, working hard on the road crew and as a snow plow driver. He was well known in his community and loved by everyone who knew him. Whether coaching softball, teaching friends and neighbors how to drive, or watching his grandchildren play the sports they love, he always had a smile on his face. Skip was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and he leaves behind a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" Osborn; his children, Keith Osborn (Ann Marie), and Kim Best (Christian); his brother, Chuck Osborn (late Peg Osborn); and his grandchildren, Kylie Osborn, Kameron Osborn, Hudson Best and Sydney Best; and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Osborn (Karen) and Clarence Roycroft (Virginia). A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m., at MAURICE L. KNEE, LTD. FUNERAL HOME, 7663 Saltsburg Rd., Plum, PA 15239. If desired, and in lieu of flowers, the Osborn family suggest memorial contributions to Wounded Warrior Project.
