DANIEL JAMES
A longtime resident of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on October 30, 2025. Dan was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on June 9, 1951, to the late Daniel and Shirley Deady. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 48 years, Christine (Novak); the devoted father of Monica Lester (Thomas); and proud grandfather of Elliot, Samuel and Ezra. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Tsevdos; and nieces, Katie Hess (Jeff) and Natalie Tsevdos.
Dan was a member of the Mt. Lebanon High School Class of 1969 and a University of Pittsburgh graduate. He was a talented pianist and church organist who had a lifelong love of music. He listened to everything from The Beatles to Bach. Dan worked in business and accounting for several local companies before retiring from Wyatt Inc. in 2013.
All are welcome for Visitation on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 2-6 p.m., FREYVOGEL-SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 112 Fort Couch Rd., (opposite Macy's South Hills Village), Bethel Park. A prayer Service will take place Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
