DARCIA

Age 75, of South Park Township, passed away unexpectedly on May 23, 2026.

Darcy was born on April 9, 1951, in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Louis and Clara Morouse.

Raised in Mount Lebanon, Darcia was a proud 1969 graduate of Mount Lebanon High School. For more than 20 years, Darcy lovingly cared for the children of Mary Margaret Kerr and Bruce Perrone, Rob and Cristina Perrone (Jason), as their devoted nanny. Over the years, she became much more than a caregiver, she became part of the family and held a special place in all of their hearts. She later became part owner of Neighborhood Dollar in McKeesport, where she was well known for her kindness, warm smile, and the friendships she built with customers and the community over the years.

Darcy loved to cook and found great joy in preparing meals and bringing people together around the table, especially to enjoy her potato salad. She also adored her poodles and cherished the many beloved companions she had throughout her life. Above all else, Darcy will be remembered as a caring and generous woman whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, especially "the girls."

Darcy is survived by her siblings, Danielle Green and L. Jeffrey (Kathy) Morouse; nephews, Leonard Weiss and Timmy (Lisa) Weiss; niece, Heather Rice; great-nieces and nephews, Taylor Weiss, Len Weiss, Wade Vos Weiss and Robbie Rice-Bonneau; her former husband, John Fitzgibbon; as well as her beloved dog, Sammy.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ronald Morouse; and Carl A. Griffith, who was the love of her life.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 12-2 PM, at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

A funeral service will be held following visitation at 2 PM, in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
