Age 92, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the son of the late Irene and David Figgins. Beloved husband of Pearl; loving father of Lynne, Peter, Michael (Sue), and Barbara Figgins; grandfather of Erin, David, Ryan, Sean, Kathryn, Joey and Kira; great-grandfather to Jasper. David was a founding board member of the River City Brass Band and Three Rivers Rowing Assoc., former board member of Liberty Mutual, Carlow University, Salvation Army National Board, PICT, PSPE, Pittsburgh Harlequins Rugby, PTEI and the Irish Center. He was a member of Oakmont Country Club, past district governor of Pittsburgh Rotary Club and past president of Gaelic Arts Society. Throughout his career David helped shape the skyline of Pittsburgh from Heinz Hall to PPG Place, Highmark's Fifth Avenue Place, and Allegheny General Hospital among many others.
