CECCONE

DAVID GEORGE

Of Bridgeville, passed quietly with family by his side on January 2, 2026, after a brief illness.

Dave was born on December 19, 1932, in Donora, PA, the son of the late Attillio and Chlarina (DeSalvo) Cecconi. He was predeceased by his siblings, Camille Pagliari, Dominic Cecconi and Amelia Cecconi.

He was also predeceased by his wife, Pearl (Kalamas) Ceccone, his daughter, Lisa Marie Ceccone and granddaughter, Alyssa (Giannirakis) Raybuck.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Lynnlee Giannirakis and Lori (George) Palmieri. Beloved "Pap Dave" to granddaughter Marina Giannirakis (William Singer), grandson, Anthony Palmieri, granddaughter, Olivia (Fiancé, Ethan Heister), and grandson-in-law, William Raybuck. He was also survived by his brother, Arnold Cecconi of Virginia, brother-in-law, Michael Kalamas of Bridgeville and numerous nieces and nephews.

He leaves behind his special friends at Chartiers Bend Resort Living where he resided the past five years. Dave enjoyed being the Residence's Volunteer Package Deliverer, clocking in thousands of steps a day while visiting his neighbors.

He was a proud graduate of Donora High School Class of 1950 and served as a chairperson for many of their reunions. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War. His service to his country was an important part of his life. He worked primarily as a purchasing manager for Lee Norse and other businesses in the Mon Valley.

Dave was a lifelong Penguins, Pirates and Steelers Super Fan. His best story involved his attendance at the "Immaculate Reception" Game. He attended the very first Steeler Super Bowl in 1974 and rarely (if ever) missed watching a game. He was an avid reader and constant source of support to his children and grandchildren. He attributed his healthy longevity to being physically active and a daily glass of wine.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Honor Flight, www.honorflightpittsburgh.org. His trip with this group of veterans to Washington, DC was a highlight of his retirement years.

Per his wishes, all arrangements will be private. Interment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Please add or view tributes at www.beinhauer.com
