David W. Shelpman, 81, of Pittsburgh, passed away on December 1, 2025.

David was the devoted husband to Patricia M. Shelpman. The two met while out dancing and enjoying music at the Lebanon Lodge. They would go on to be married in 1967, joining their two large families and creating a beautiful family of their own. David also worked as a custodian for Upper Saint Clair School District for 25 years. Music would continue to be a source of joy for David as he loved to listen to music, dance and have a good time. He would often spin his favorite records on repeat, especially those by Jackie Wilson.

David is survived by his loving spouse Patricia, children David Shelpman Jr. and Melissa (Phil) Roberto; grandchildren, Kira and Kylie Roberto and David Shelpman III; sister Carol Ann (John) Stanko, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Gladys Shelpman, and siblings, Jane Judd, Harold Jr., Robert, John, Donald, Gerald, Elizabeth Thompson, Ronald, Joseph, Thomas and Karl.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 202,5 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
