DeLORES "DEE" MARTHA

DeLores "Dee" Martha (Cummings) Simon, age 99, of North Versailles, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born September 10, 1924 in Swissvale, the daughter of the late Thomas Carter and Julie (Munch) Cummings. She was a long-time member of the Saint John's Lutheran Church in North Versailles and taught Sunday school for over 17 years. She served as the President of the Advisory Board of North Versailles for two terms as well as a long-time head of the "Ways and Means" Committee. She was a tour guide for over 20 years at the North Versailles Senior Center and the financial Secretary of the travel club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving devoted husband, George "Roy" L. Simon. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Tritsch of North Versailles, Judee (Randy) Churchfield of North Versailles and Janet (Frank) Janoss of Claysville; grandchildren, Jeni (Aaron) Schissler of Pasadena, Maryland, Bradley Tritsch of Costa Masa, California and Chelsea (Jon Burns) Churchfield of Harrisburg; and great-grandchildren, Kailey and Kamryn Schissler.
