DENNIS L.
Age 77, of Ross Township, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. A proud Army Veteran, born August 25, 1947, on Pittsburgh's North Side, married his high school sweetheart on August 23, 1969, and spent over 55 years making a lifetime of memories and lifelong friends.
He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Helen; son, Chad (Jenn) Cribbins; daughter, Colleen Collins; loving grandchildren, Tyler, Cole and Coco; twin brother, Mike (Pat); sister, Kathy; brother-in-law, Dave (Barb) Wehner; sister-in-law, Beth Niemczyk (the late Art); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by infant daughter, Kristie; parents, Larry and Laurette Cribbins; in-laws, Norb and Helen Wehner; and brother in law, Art Niemczyk.
Den received his formal education at North Catholic High School, Cardinal Stritch Roman Catholic University, and the Project Management Institute. He worked in the Transportation and Nuclear industries, where responsibilities included computer replacement projects at a Nuclear Plant, and Fleet Finance Manager over five Nuclear Facilities. He served on the Board of Directors for the Nuclear Industry's Electric Utility Cost Group. His passions included broadway shows, traveling, statistics and analytics, Pittsburgh Steelers, and fantasy football, and hanging with friends and family. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran, whose numerous medals included the Purple Heart. He authored one book, "View From A Grunt," his memoir of Vietnam.
Funeral arrangements will be handled by O'BRIEN'S, 3724 California Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212 where there will be visitations Wednesday, 3-7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, 11 AM, at Regina Coeli Parish-Church of the Assumption. Interment will be private.
