Diane Joy Borland, was called home to God on August 18, 2025. Formerly of Shaler, born in Pittsburgh, on January 29, 1944, daughter of the late Edward (Gertrude) Pilatowski. Loving wife of the late William E. Borland. Loving mother of Melissa Joy Herbinko (George) and Christine Joy Raehn (Christopher). Also survived by her sister, Sandy O'Neil; brother, Paul Pilatowski (Margie); three grandchildren, Makenzie Joy (Adam), Zachary, and Caitlyn Joy; nieces and nephews, Michele, Paul, and Shari.
Family will welcome friends Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, INC., where a service will be held at 12 p.m.
A woman of deep faith, Diane was highly involved in her church community, where she found purpose and joy in service. Diane had a heart for giving back. She found fulfillment in helping those in need, always going above and beyond to lend a hand or offer encouragement. Her kindness touched many lives, and her presence brought comfort and warmth to everyone around her.
Above all, Diane was fiercely protective and endlessly loving toward her family. Her love was unwavering, her guidance steady, and her pride in her loved ones was immense. She created a home filled with care, laughter, and unconditional support, a true legacy of love.
