DOLORES E. "TOODIE"

Dolores E. "Toodie" Neighley, age 96, of Deer Creek Road, in Valencia, PA, died on November 8, 2025. Born in Bairdford, West Deer Township, on August 11, 1929, the daughter of the late Carl and Elsie Omland Ebel. Beloved wife of the late Robert Neighley. Loving mother of Sue Riley (late James) and Jayne Cain (Bernard "Bing"). Sister of Sharma Smith (late Larry). Aunt of Gretchen Smith and Carl Smith (Shawna). Dear grandmother of Leslie Riley Pankiewicz (David), Lindsey Springer (Chris), David Cain (Bethany), and Cherie Peters (Kristopher "Kip"). Great-grandmother of Annabelle Springer, Kendall Cain, Tyler Cain, Kelsey Cain, Kalan Peters, and Karter Peters. Also survived by many additional nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Music was always an important part of Toodie's life, from playing the piano for round and square dances as a teenager, to her career spanning 49 years as a church organist. She served Bairdford United Methodist Church for 37 years and Deer Creek United Presbyterian Church for 12 years. She also played the organ for worship services at St. Barnabas Nursing Home for 18 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Mars, West Deer Golden Years Club, Hampton AARP and Mars AARP. She performed in skits and sing-along programs, and she had a "kitchen band." Toodie entertained at churches and nursing homes.

Friends will be received on Monday, from 4-8 p.m., at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LTD., 5864 Heckert Rd., Bakerstown, PA 15007. Services will be held on Tuesday, at 11 a.m., in Bairdford Methodist Church with Rev. Zach Bohinski officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
