DOLORES J.

Age 85, of Bloomfield, PA, surrounded by love, went peacefully home, on Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was reunited with her late beloved mother, Gertrude; brother, Sonny; husband, John; and nephew, Darren. Her ferocity, generosity, and compassion will be carried on by her children, John (Lisa) Baginski, Sandy (Tom) Yarnall; grandchildren, Jason (Mara) Baginski, Jaimie (Justin) Dzelzkalns, T.J. Yarnall and Adam Baginski; great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Adeline, Sophia, Leo and John, through which she will continue to live on.

Dolores was raised in Lawrenceville, PA, where she married her one and only sweetheart and created a family. She dedicated 30 years to working in the Pittsburgh Public Schools, during which she poured her soul into the kids who needed love the most. The relentless compassion she showed to her students in the most underfunded inner-city schools perfectly exemplified a heart molded by God standing strong in the face of evil and pain. Mrs. B is a name that will live on in the hearts of more students than she will ever know.

We call her Dolores, Bunny, Mrs. B., Grammy, Gram, Gramma, Mom. We called her for every challenge we faced. We called her for advice, for support, for recipes and sometimes reality TV gossip. And although God has called her home, many of us call her the reason we are who we are. And through so many, she will live on.

Family and friends received at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, St. Augustine Church, 225-37th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Augustine Church, followed by burial at St. Augustine Cemetery in Shaler Twp. All are warmly welcome.
