Monroeville - Age 93, of Monroeville, passed away peacefully, on November 10, 2025. Born in Glassport, Pennsylvania, and raised in Jeannette, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Cima) Masciantonio.
A proud graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Dominic earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Over the course of a distinguished career, he retired as Vice President of Dick Corporation, where he contributed to numerous bridge, highway, and building projects throughout the region.
Dominic honorably served his country in both the U.S. Merchant Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force, where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He was married for 66 years to his beloved wife, the late Geraldine (Amour) Masciantonio. Dominic was the devoted father of Andrea (Bob) Campbell, Terri (Bill) Welch, Marti (the late Ron) Barcelos and Vince Masciantonio. He was the cherished grandfather of Nicole (Joe) Rossi, Jaclyn (Joe) Beresford, Anthony (Laura) Welch, Michael (Klari) Barcelos and Chris (Katie) Barcelos; and proud great-grandfather of Emma, Audra, Cosette, Sloan and Charlie.
Dominic was the youngest of four children and was preceded in death by his sister, Jean (the late Ward) Shuster; and brother, Philip (the late Delores) Masciantonio. He is survived by his sister, Josephine (the late Bob) Avolio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Dominic was a man of faith, integrity and dedication. A proud son of Italian immigrants, he treasured his heritage and family above all. He was an avid golfer, longtime member of Willowbrook Country Club, where he achieved two holes-in-one, and a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Enjoyed games of chance at the casino. He also enjoyed studying Civil War history.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 17, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the Divine Shepard Parish at St. Bernadette Church, 245 Azalea Drive, Monroeville, PA, at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, November 18.
Dominic will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, and his quiet strength that inspired any who knew him.
