Peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022, Donald E. Hook, age 92, of McCandless Twp. Beloved husband of the late Matilda Kampas Hook and the late Kay C. Hook; father of Sally (late Jerry) Boeh, Sharon (Bob) Luthultz, Donald (Pam) Hook, Jr., Jeffrey (Tammy) Hook, and the late Jay Hook; stepfather of Gregory (Carol Davidson) Chiles and Lee Ann Chiles; brother of the late Howard Hook; grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of 11. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Methodist Church, 1965 Ferguson Rd., Allison Park, PA 15101, where contributions may be made to North Hills Community Outreach. Donald was the owner of Pittsburgh Cut Flower, which was founded in 1898. He started working there when he was 21 years old and continued for the next 50 years, during which he became president of the Society of American Florists and WFFSA. Donald was a member of the board of West View Savings Bank where he earned the title of chairman emeritus. He dedicated many hours volunteering at his church and was one of the founders of its North Hills Community Outreach. In his free time he enjoyed gardening.
