DONNA LEE

Age 79, of Providence Point Senior Living Community and Mt. Lebanon, passed on May 27, 2026, in her home.

Donna was born on May 6, 1947, and lived in Western Pennsylvania all her life. She was a graduate of St. Francis University magna cum laude in 1969 and received a MSI degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Donna was a systems analyst, who worked for PPG Industries, as well as several other companies before her retirement. She was a devout member of St. Bernard Church in Mt. Lebanon. Her great love of life was her family and her Miniature Schnauzers, of whom she had eight over the years. She was an enthusiastic gardener.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 52 years, James T. Carney II; two loving sons, James F. Carney and Daniel P. Carney, both of Mt. Lebanon; four grandchildren to whom she was devoted: Teddy Carney, Francesca Carney, Mario Carney and Danielle Carney. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Geraldine Muraco; her brother, Joseph Mark Donoghue; and three nephews and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nora Donoghue; and two siblings, Carol Donoghue and Christine Lucas. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Family and friends who were touched by Donna are invited to celebrate her life at LAUGHLIN CREMATION & FUNERAL TRIBUTES, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, on Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Michael the Archangel Parish - St. Bernard Church, on Tuesday, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the Mausoleum Chapel at Jefferson Memorial Park, where a eulogy will also be given. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
