DONNA MARIE (BRUNO)

Of Scott Township, passed away peacefully, at home, at the age of 93, on June 28, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Carl Bruno and Grace (Bruno) Doyle; and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, John Kenderski, Jr. Donna was the proud mother of Carol (the late Robert) Turner and Grace (Nicholas) Cap. She was the adored grandmother of Kathleen Turner, Kelly (Russell) Seigworth, John Turner, Robert (Jennifer) Turner, Jr., Nicholas Cap and Anthony Cap; and was the cherished "Mina" to great-grandsons, Jak Turner, Bret Turner and Micah Seigworth. She was the loving sister of Frank (Sara) Malara; and will be fondly remembered by her nephew Frank (Anita) Malara, Jr.; niece, Dana (Ryan) Celli; great-nieces, Sophia Malara and Ava Malara; and great-nephews, Noah Celli and Frank Malara, III.

Donna was the dear sister-in-law to Dorothy (the late William) Antonelli and Virginia (the late Sterling) Walker; and was preceded in death by Victor (the late Eileen) Kender, Irene (the late Edward) Nahay, Joan (the late Peter) Galido, Walter (surviving Jackie) Kenderski, Edward Kenderski and Thomas (surviving Roland) Kenderski. She is also survived by many special cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Donna retired from Dollar Bank, where she served in a customer service role, and was an active member and volunteer at Ss. Simon and Jude Church. However, her best years were spent in retirement surrounded by her family; Donna was happiest when everyone was together and reminiscing, playing a round of Phase-10, or visiting for "Fish Fry Fridays". She was notorious for being the first guest to arrive at a gathering and the last one to leave, unwilling to miss a moment. In her own words, Donna's greatest accomplishment was "her kids," and her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her world. Donna was a true matriarch and spearheaded many family traditions, including the longstanding Fourth of July family picnic and her famous bunny cake on Easter. She instilled the importance of gathering as a family for all types of celebrations, both big and small.

Donna had a gift for words and never missed an opportunity to send a greeting card, often Scotch taping a dollar inside for each year being celebrated. Her thoughtfully handwritten messages rivaled those found inside Hallmark stores. Donna frequently traveled with her late husband, John, and even learned to appreciate golf because of his passion for the game. She enjoyed watching movies and soap operas, especially on her "separate TV," which she once offered as her secret to a happy marriage. Known affectionately as "Grandma Flash" for her frequent picture-taking, Donna captured countless memories and meticulously catalogued them into hundreds of photo albums. She leaves behind a legacy that will be treasured for years to come.

Friends are welcome on Monday, July 6, from 2:00-8:00 p.m., at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, (412-563-2800), 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 7, at 10:00 a.m., at Ss. Simon and Jude Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, 1607 Greentree Rd. Interment to follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
