Doris Marston, 78, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Doris was a very active member in her community as a Whitehall resident for 46 years. She was a member of the Republican Committee of Whitehall, demonstrating her commitment to civic engagement and her passion for public service. A lifelong lover of football, she was particularly devoted to Penn State, where she was a proud season ticket holder, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, proudly cheering them on from the sidelines.

Doris's faith was of utmost importance to her, as evidenced by her active participation in Bible study and her deep involvement in church activities. She cherished her family above all, always putting their needs first and ensuring that family affairs and gatherings were a priority. She was an avid dog lover, cherishing her sweet German Shepherd, Bentley. Doris also loved spending time at the beach on the gulf coast of Florida.

Doris is survived by her son, Jeffrey Marston; nephews, David (Elaine) and Daniel Polinak; great-niece and goddaughter, Alyssa; great-niece, Stephanie; great-nephews, Nicholas and Adam.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, John Marston; parents, Nicholas and Anna Polinak; brother, Donald Polinak; and nephew, Stephen Polinak.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236. A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home's chapel. Burial to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 12:30 p.m.
