In her 100th year, on Friday, December 19, 2025, Dorothy (Solinsky) Kosak, of Avalon, went to be with God. Beloved wife of the late George Kosak; mother of Thomas (Robbee) Kosak, Catherine Kosak, Constance (Richard) Gamrod, Gerard (Susan Nordbye) Kosak, Richard (Tina) Kosak and Timothy Kosak; sister of Rosemary Silay, Loretta O'Hara, and the late Joseph, Donald, and Leonard Solinsky; also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Dorothy loved traveling with George while he sang in Barbershop Quartet competitions. She loved throwing parties and entertaining family and friends...all of whom received handmade cards which she made for decades. For many years, Dorothy enjoyed hosting and playing card club with "the Girls." She was a founding member of the Assumption Church Prayer Shawl club, which gave comfort to the sick and infirm of the community. Spending time with family was her greatest joy.

The family would like to thank the many caregivers who took such good care of our parents during their years at New Hope Gracious Personal Care. We are forever grateful to her angel, Lynn, who became a granddaughter to Mom during those years at New Hope. We can never repay your kindness.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME INC., 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Regina Coeli Parish, Church of the Assumption, 45 N. Sprague Avenue, Bellevue (Friends, please meet at church). Instead of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to Regina Coeli Roman Catholic Parish (reginacoeliparish.org).
