My condolences on the passing of Dr. Larry Davis. Dr. Davis was an intelligent and caring man whose work has inspired me to continue on in my mission to lift up communities of color and humanity itself. Dr. Davis' absence will be felt by many in this region and beyond. He was a great human being. May God keep and comfort your family.

Larry was an inspiration to me from the first day I met him. In the late 80's early 90's , I was a non faculty women at Pitt trying to build an entrepreneurship and family business program. (IEE) Women like me had a very hard time being accepted at Pitt and people of diversity just as hard. Larry reached out and helped me understand the academic system and how it works. Later on as I tried to bring more services to the black entrepreneurial community Larry was again my mentor and resource. A truly caring and thoughtful citizen of the world who I will miss deeply. Sending my prayers to his family who he loved deeply as well

Condolences to the family of this remarkable man. I first met Dr. Davis while working on the grand opening of the August Wilson Center and learned so much from him about the author and the Hill District. Dr. Davis, like Mr. Wilson, had a profound influence on me, the city and all who shared in and benefitted from his wisdom.
