SUTILLA
EDWARD "CY"
Age 88, passed away July 26, 2025, with loved ones at his side. Born in Revloc, PA to Walter J. Sr. and Mary (Piatek) Sutilla. After Ebensburg-Cambria H.S., he played football for Michigan State University ('59) and earned his Masters Degree at St. Francis University. Edward worked for U.S. Steel and USS Chemical, retiring as Personnel Manager for Aristech Chemical Corp.
Preceded in death by siblings, Helen Iffland, Walter Sutilla, Jr., Frances Friday and Anna Marie DalBello. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Edward's love lives on with his wife of 63 years, Shirley Riley Sutilla; his daughters, Carrie (Douglas) O'Connor, Mary Ann (Paul) Formichella; and grandchildren, Sean and Patrick O'Connor and Katherine, Nicholas and Joseph Formichella.
Family and friends are welcome Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800), 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., PA 15220. Funeral Mass Friday, August 1, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Margaret of Scotland, 310 Mansfield Ave., Pittsburgh PA 15220. Memorial contributions can be made to the church of St. Margaret of Scotland.
