EDWARD JOHN

Edward John Grzybowski, age 76, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was a devoted husband to his beloved late wife, Arlene, for 50 years. He was the son of the late Edward and Sophia Grzybowski of Glendale, Scott Twp.

He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Ball (Paul), Janice Rizzi (Ted), Joyce Shanko (Doug), and Judith Rosene (Dale). Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Edward was a graduate of Canevin High School, Edinboro State College, and the University of Pittsburgh. He worked as a teacher and counselor in the Pittsburgh Public Schools, Allegheny Intermediate Unit (Special Education), Mon Valley School, Western Hills and Pathfinder School.

He was co-owner of Tri-State Antiques in Canonsburg. He had a passion for art history, and he was well known and respected in the field for his vast knowledge of antiques and decorative arts. He was a friend and mentor to many, and he will be lovingly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 12-3 PM, followed by a Blessing Service at 3:00 PM, at the WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. 15220. (412-563-2800).

Family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
