MAUS

EDWIN RICHARD

Age 84, of Wexford, formerly of Larimer Avenue, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Bud was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School, where he formed lifelong friendships. He served with distinction in the USAF Security Service and went on to enjoy a highly successful career in banking. He served as CEO of Laurel Capital Group and as a director and board member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers.

Bud is reunited with his beloved wife of more than 60 years, Lorraine Maus. He is survived by his three children, Donna Doblick; Sheri Maus-Lichtman (Eric Lichtman); and Brian Maus (Christie Maus). He was a proud grandfather to Luke Doblick, Kate Delaney, and Eric Maus (Ruth Guckiean); and a great-grandfather to Harrison Maus and Murphy Maus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Julia Maus; and his siblings, John and Bea. He is also survived by his sisters, Alice, MaryBeth, and Eileen. Bud was not only a devoted husband, father, and grandfather but also a dear friend to many. His laugh and his welcoming smile will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Bud cherished time spent with family and friends. He and Lorraine hosted many Oktoberfest parties and gatherings, bringing people together with their warm hospitality, joyful spirit, and excellent cooking. He also loved to travel, sharing memorable trips with Lorraine to Banff, Hawaii, Mexico, and many other beautiful destinations. An avid Steelers fan, Bud enjoyed tailgating with friends before and after games. He loved traditions, fishing, campfires, cold beer, old country songs, dogs, and kids. He treasured his weekends at camp with his longtime friends.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of prayers, love, and support over the past several months. Your kindness has meant so much during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at SCHELLHAAS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143, on Wednesday, April 29, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, April 30, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Alphonsus Church, St. Aidan Parish, 221 Church Road, Wexford, PA 15090, with a luncheon to follow. A celebration of Bud's life is in the works.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bud's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
